Football can be a complicated game. At its simplest, two teams move the ball up and down the field trying to score on each other. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
There is a whole vocabulary within the game of football that can be quite confusing to someone not familiar with the game. Some terms just need a simple definition. Some need more of an explanation before we can talk simply about the game.
The field markings are a necessary part of understanding the game as well.
